I worked as an art director on the feature film Deliha 2, directed by Gupse Özay, which was shot in Istanbul and Köyceğiz. Under the guidance of production designer Nilgün Nalçacı, we built a full street set designed to feel like Istanbul, including a restaurant that served as the film’s main location.
A big part of the work involved constructing detailed building façades and carefully shaping the street itself. We sourced stones from another city and laid them by hand to recreate the texture and character of Istanbul streets, making the set feel grounded and authentic. The focus was on practical construction and believable detail, resulting in a lively environment that blended seamlessly with real locations and supported the film’s tone.
