On Charlie’s Angels (2019), I worked as Assistant Art Director on the Istanbul sequences. The shoot involved setting up large-scale hotel interiors, dressing streets, and transforming the Hippodrome into the city’s major public event. It was a massive operation, with countless details to coordinate in a very limited time frame.
Working closely with Production Designer Aaron Haye, my role focused on translating the design vision into real locations, managing set dressing, and maintaining visual continuity across complex action sequences. The scale and pace of the production demanded precision, flexibility, and constant problem-solving.
Directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska, the film was produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Istanbul shoot was made possible with the support of Karma Film, whose local production coordination was key to delivering the work on the ground.
