I worked as an art director on the romantic drama feature film Acı Tatlı Ekşi (Hot Sweet Sour), produced by BKM and shot in Istanbul and İzmir. Under the guidance of production designer Nilgün Nalçacı, we focused on creating intimate and believable environments that supported the emotional journey of the characters.
The work involved detailed set construction and dressing, with special attention to textures and everyday details that reflect the character of the cities. Our goal was to build spaces that felt lived-in and natural, allowing the film’s emotional tone to come through without distraction. It was a subtle, detail-driven process that emphasized atmosphere and realism over scale.
